Thai Nesia Darlinghurst – Ceiling Setting

Thai Nesia Darlinghurst - Ceiling Setting
26th May 2007 – I was looking at the ceiling of Thai Nesia, which is located in Darlinghurst, and for some reason I was attracted to the look of it. It must be all of the plum that’s appealing.

I took the shot, of the ceiling to let me remember what it actually looked like, but in retrospect, it’s not the greatest ceiling I’ve seen. Don’t get me wrong; I love the colour of the ceiling, and the lights add to the funkiness of it all, but the ceiling ducted air conditioning unit, detracts from the whole design. I mean it doesn’t really blend in with the ceiling, and sticks out like a sore thumb.

Something else that is bothering me, is the joining of the panels. It would be much better, and more aesthetically pleasing if the joints didn’t stick out, i.e. if they were sunken or something. But then that would probably be too expensive.

Air Handler Overhead

Air Handler Overhead
This air handler unit would not fit into our attic due to the architecture of our home. It is suspended from the ceiling in our garage instead.
